Why I built it.
Civic information is scattered across dozens of government websites, written in language designed for lawyers, and rarely tells you what any of it means for you. Most people want to engage; they just can't find the door.
Constituent brings federal, state, county, and municipal government into one place, translates it into plain language, and, for the first time in a consumer civic app, measures each bill against your values and exposes how biased it really is. Then it tells you exactly how to weigh in.
How information is handled
Useful context, with the limits stated clearly.
Constituent is designed to make public civic information easier to use without pretending that an app replaces the official record or your own judgment.
Plain language and AI assistance
AI-assisted summaries and estimates make dense records easier to approach, but they can be incomplete or wrong. Important civic, legal, and election information should always be confirmed with the relevant official source.
Values and bias are separate
The personalized For or Against estimate is based on the values a user chooses. The Bias Assessment asks a different question about how slanted a bill may be. Both are informational estimates, not instructions on what to think.
Coverage and corrections
Available information varies by jurisdiction and can change as government systems change. If something appears missing or out of date, email info [at] tomorrowlabs [dot] net.
